Following the university's principle of "teaching through research", the work in the Faculty of Education is determined by three central themes: professionalisation, development of expertise and internationalisation. The faculty has numerous international research contacts, in particular to Eastern and East Central Europe, Asia and Latin America. In addition the central themes are realised through the constantly growing international student and lecturer exchange programmes, innovative study programmes and the far reaching tutor qualifications.
